About Me
My wife, Teresa, and I have been married since 1987 and currently live in the beautiful city of Gresham, the fourth largest city in Oregon. Nestled on the east side of Portland next to Troutdale and the Sandy River (yes, the world-famous Sandy River known for its Steelhead fishing), we have an incredible view of Mt Hood.

Often, when the thought strikes us, we jump into the car and within an hour we are lounging by the large fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa at the world-famous Timberline Lodge. (By the way, Teresa's grandfather was a foreman on the crew that built the lodge in the 1930's!)
Our two "children" are named Barkley and Riley - a male West Highland Terrier and a female Miniature Dachshund (short-haired), respectively.
As for what I do, I had the privilege of being the senior pastor at Mount Hood Christian Center in Gresham from 1997 to 2006. Prior to this ministry, we served as itinerate ministers in Oregon for five years - most of that time being active members of Peoples Church in Salem, Oregon. Previous ministries include Associate Pastoral positions, and also working as the Bookkeeper for the Oregon Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God (f.k.a. Oregon District Assemblies of God) from 1988-1990.
Currently I am on a sabbatical for health reasons. I resigned my pastorate in Sept. 2006 and continue to seek a final resolution to my illness of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (FM/CFS). During this "down time" I provide Executive Coaching and other services to the local business community through my business, the Livingstone Consulting Group.
Teresa worked at City Hall in Troutdale from 1999 to 2006 where we have both enjoyed getting to know the city employees and many of their families. She also served on the Citizen's Advisory Council for the Gresham Fire Department which services the Troutdale area.
From City Hall in Troutdale she moved to City Hall in Gresham in Dec. 2006. After serving in the Building Department, she was recruited to work in the Office of Governance and Management (OGM), which basically is the Mayor's Office. There her hospitality skills are put to good use as she serves the citizens of Gresham.
Thanks for dropping by and reading my brief bio page. I hope that the Heart & Path journal entries will inspire within you a deep and sincere love for God.
Sincerely,

David J. Hall
