Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 03:43PM Since childhood there has been one thing that I did not want to become: I didn't want to become a "Christian" who knew a lot about Christ... without really knowing Him. I was reminded of this during my Scripture reading this week when I came across John 14:9 where Jesus is recorded as saying to one of the twelve disciples, Philip...

"The only way to keep a broken vessel full is to keep it always under the tap."
Sunday, April 29, 2007 at 11:20AM The pain and the fatigue of the Fibromyalgia continues to wreck havoc on my body, my emotions, and my spirit. While I do not claim to be equal with Job's experience of pain, suffering, and loss, I do claim that his story and his example in scripture continues to be a source of encouragement and strength for me and many others.

Friday, November 24, 2006 at 08:32AM ... we focus on what we do not yet have, rather than on what we do have already.
... we are too busy formulating and assigning blame for all of our dreams that never quite transpired for us.
... we actually think that we deserve all of the good things in our lives.
... we are overtly worried that we might now have stolen what we have finally received.
Can you think of some other "It is Difficult to be Thankful When..." nuggets? Post a comment or two (or three).
Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 11:25AM The other night I lay in bed wide awake and almost beside myself. The pain, from head to toe, and finger-tip to finger-tip, felt the same as when my elbow funny-bone has been whacked. The same sensation, and this time it was the same pain level too. What causes this? Nobody really knows.
Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 07:58PM Today it was reported in the media that singer Elton John has stated that religions promote hatred of gay people. (For those of you who may not know of him, he is a singer and has long been a practicing homosexual.)
Sunday, November 5, 2006 at 01:15PM What if, at an early age, there was someone who had taken Saddam under their wing and taught him (and exhibited for him) what it meant to "...keep your heart on the right path..." (Proverbs 23:19)?
Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 11:13PM If things had NOT gone wrong, I never would have learned and experienced what I did because it DID go wrong. Life is like that too. Sometimes the greatest things in life that we can learn and experience are only encountered as we face things that have gone wrong, and then we follow through with research, experiments, seeking of advice, reading instruction manuals, etc.
