"Heart & Path Ministers to 1 Billion People!"

Yes, the title to this journal entry is an exaggeration!

A friend and I were talking the other day about how some Christian television programs announce that they are "ministering to millions" when in actual fact their program is simply on a few cable access channels of a few cable companies in some big cities.

Actual viewership of the program: maybe 25.

Please do not misunderstand, I am not berating anyone's efforts to broadcast the good news of Jesus Christ through any of the available media streams.  I do however want to make a point of saying to my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ that when it comes to making statements as to how big our ministries are, let's keep it real.

For example, just because Heart & Path is on the internet does not mean that I am "ministering to 1 billion souls" (the estimated number of people on the earth who have access to the internet).  I can assure you that the actual number that I am "ministering" to is a little less than the "1 billion" figure... perhaps 99.999995% less than that!

Let's keep it real.  Let's keep it honest!
